Service Description
Rachel D'Ambrosio is back to The Sewing Studio IOW to bring her wonderful world of quilting to us. After her fabulous Sashiko workshop, she is hosting this beautiful Patchwork of Crosses Block Quilt day. I am sure this will get booked up quickly so please make sure you dont miss out. Patchwork of Crosses Block made in 24 x 1.5 inch hexiform honeycombs - You will be shown how to create this block, learn the history of Lucy Boston, be provided with my pattern, and also provided with the 18inch wadding square. After sewing together the block I will show you how to applique it onto your backing square. You could then go onto make a few more blocks to match to create a whole quilt. You will need to bring 1 x fat quarter for the backing fabric, then I would suggest 3 or 4 extra fat quarters which you can cut and use to make your first block. You will also need to bring fabric scissors, cotton and a needle’
